In the news this morning, Philadelphia police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left one person dead and five others injured on Monday afternoon.

It happened just before 2.30 when police say an unknown suspect opened fire onto a group of people standing outside near Broad and Chew Avenue in the city's Fern Rock neighborhood.

Police confirm a 26-year-old man died in the shooting. He has not been identified. They say at least 24 shots were fired.

The five other victims who police say are between 19 and 28 years old were rushed to area
