In the news this morning, Philadelphia police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left one person dead and five others injured on Monday afternoon.

It happened just before 2.30 when police say an unknown suspect opened fire onto a group of people standing outside near Broad and Chew Avenue in the city's Fern Rock neighborhood.

Police confirm a 26-year-old man died in the shooting. He has not been identified. They say at least 24 shots were fired.

The five other victims who police say are between 19 and 28 years old were rushed to area

hospitals where they were replaced in stable condition. According to police, the shooter was

believed to be in the backseat of a silver Chrysler 300 with dark tinted windows when the gunfire

rang out. The shooting happened one block

north of Septus Alley's Transportation Center. One of the busiest hubs in the city, police say they're

lucky that no one got, no one else got shot and no children got shot. Eight people were shot

at the Transportation Center back in February. No arrests have been made in yesterday's shooting.

Police are searching for multiple suspects at this time.

A 911 caller claimed he witnessed Brian Laundrie slapping Gabby Petito and chasing her up and down a sidewalk.

The police in Utah responded to the incident on August 12th, located the van and pulled the couple over.

Police released body camera footage of the

traffic stop and wrote in a report that the couple identified as Laundry and Petito admitted to arguing

and that Petito had slapped laundry. The incident occurred just several weeks before Petito was
