Good morning in the news this morning.

The United States Geological Survey reports a magnitude 3.1 earthquake

hit near Freehold, New Jersey, early Wednesday morning.

The earthquake, which began at 2 a.m. is not reported to have caused any serious damage or

injuries. Several social media users across the state reported feeling vibration.

Some even thought there was an explosion. At 2 a.m., a.m., a trembler was felt in

much of central New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service. Shaking and loud bangs were

reported, but no injuries or immediate known damage. The earthquake, although small, is also

relatively uncommon in the region. A 2.7 earthquake was reported in Bernardville, New Jersey in 2015.

The Greater Delaware Valley region felt tremors after a 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck near Dover, Delaware back in December of 2017.

And on August 23rd in 2011, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake in central Virginia shook buildings in the tri-state area.

The December one was during the Camp Out for Hunger. Yeah, I remember that. You guys all felt it, right? Yeah, yeah, it was wild. We were in the RV. I was. You weren't there because it shook and I'm like, I'm alone. Yeah. Why is this moving? Man, he must be pounding it. You had gone over to the hotel. Was that it? Yeah was it because I had I'd never felt one I know you felt one yeah I lived in California

And I didn't realize it until hours later when I saw the news story I'm like

That is it I felt it but that I I remember how odd it was because it was shaking it was rocking back and forth

And I'm like I'm the only one in here.

Yeah.

Yeah.
