Good morning in the news this morning. An escaped murderer on the run in Chester County has so far alluded hundreds of law officers, including tactical teams in full combat gear, tracking dogs,

cops on horseback and aircraft as the search entered its second week Thursday and nervous residents

stay alert for any sign of the fugitive. De Nello Sousa Cavalcante, 34-year-old from Brazil,

escaped from the Chester County

prison on August 31st by scaling a wall, climbing over razor wire and jumping from a roof.

The breakout mirrored an earlier escape there in May and wasn't detected by guards for a full

hour, authorities say. On Thursday night, Longwood Gardens closed early and evacuated in response

to the discovery of an image of Cavalcante captured again on a trail

camera on Longwood Gardens property. The image was captured Wednesday evening but was not viewed

until Thursday afternoon by law enforcement sifting through hundreds of captured images from trail

cameras throughout the perimeter. I was talking to an official over there at Longwood.

There's an animal charity thing that's coming up.

And, you know, there are people who travel from many states away from around the world to go to Longwood Gardens.

And so they were closed.

They had opened up again, but they had an increased police presence.

But, and then this happens, and they had to close again.

Yeah, the garden says it will be closed until further notice at this point. Yeah. A lot of lost revenue at this point, that too. It's huge. I mean, you forget how, what a draw that is. Yeah. Yeah. Well, and this is like a pretty busy season. Summer's over. People are back from the shore and the mountains and, you know, they still want to do outdoor activities longwood gardens you know gets pretty busy yeah i i just can't believe that he's in and around that property how they have not pinpointed and narrowed down to find him exactly

the guy's got to be very wily and or they're he's just getting insanely lucky i mean it could be i mean
