Good morning in the news this morning. Hurricane Adelia strengthened to a dangerous category

four storm Wednesday morning as it steams towards Florida's Big Ben region and threatens to unleash life-threatening storm surges and rainfall.

Adalia is projected to come ashore early Wednesday as a category four storm with sustained winds of at least 130 miles per hour in the lightly populated Big Ben region where the Florida panhandle curves into the peninsula.

The result could be a big blow to a state still dealing with lingering damage from last year's Hurricane Ian.

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee said Adelia an unprecedented event since no major hurricane on record has ever passed through the bay abutting the Big Ben.
