Good morning. In the news this morning, police have made an arrest in the hit and run death of a 70-year-old man who was killed in Levitown after getting ice cream. Anthony Woods was charged with third-degree murder, homicide by vehicle, reckless driving, and failing to render aid. Authorities said Emmanuel Winthrop had just bought ice cream at Jojo's on New Falls Road and was walking with a cane back to his car when he was struck. Police said surveillance

video captured the entire incident. Investigators said that based on the footage, Woods struck

Wine Tribe with his Nissan Ultima while he was crossing New Falls Road in a designated crosswalk and then drove away from the scene.

According to the criminal complaint, the police located Woods car, then noted damage to the windshield,

which Woods said was obtained while copping drugs in Philadelphia.

The complaint also said Woods asked an auto body repair shop to throw away any receipts and not to speak to police about his damaged windshield.

According to, right? I mean, according to investigators during an interview on Tuesday morning, Woods admitted to hitting a person with his car on August 21st, but he said that he thought it was a child, not an adult.

excuse me this guy should just keep his mouth shut yeah so that makes it oh I'm sorry yeah I thought it was a kid that's why I kept going if I would have known it was an adult I would have to stop yeah I don't have to stop. The law doesn't dictate that. But you know what it was? So the guy was crossing the street in a crosswalk. The cars had stopped. And this guy drove around the stopped cars and hit the guy. Sadly, I see that happen a fair amount. I do too. Yeah, well, people will jump the line and go through the intersection or whatever you're stopped at. Or go, yeah, they'll go around. They don't have time to wait. Yeah, yeah. Oh, my God, I hate it. You know, I don't know her name and I don't know her condition now, but I mean, she was permanently injured in Concha Hawkins. Same thing. So they stopped. She was a little girl and she was walking across the street and the guy drove around the car that was stopped and hit her and, I mean, hurt her bad. I see moronic stuff like that almost on a daily basis. I just don't get it, me. Yeah, when I crossed an intersection, I've seen some people just kind of walk along and look down. I'm always looking around because people cut through intersections and jump lines all the time.

Yeah, so this guy, they got him. He's being charged.

But unfortunately, this guy passed away when he was hit.

A Taiwanese exchange student accused of threatening to carry out a shooting at his Delaware County High School pleaded guilty to federal firearms charge on Tuesday. And so's son was arraigned in federal court where he entered a guilty plea.

A judge scheduled sentencing for December, but son's attorney Robert Keller asked that the date be moved up once the pre-sentencing report is finished. The 18-year-old student agreed to be

deported and to not re-enter the United States without permission.

He previously pleaded guilty to state terroristic threat charges and was sentenced to four to 23

months. He was immediately paroled and reprimanded to federal custody to face a charge of an alien

in possession of ammunition. The judge could sentence son up to 10 years in prison and up to

$250,000 in fines. School authorities were

alerted in March that son talked about a May 1st shooting at Bonner and Archbishop

Brenda High School in Upper Darby. The teen called the talk a joke, but authorities found
