In the news this morning, authorities say two doctors and their daughter were killed in a plane crash on Thursday morning in Upper Moreland Township Montgomery County. The crash was reported by 911 from a resident on a mini lane about 620 a.m. Investigators say a single engine, Beechcraft Bonanza propeller plane crashed in the rear of the property. The three people killed were inside the plane. No one on the ground was injured.

Police confirm all three victims were family members from one family. The pilot was 60-year-old

Dr. Jasvir, his wife, 54-year-old Dr. Divya and their daughter, 19-year-old, Kieran. The family

leaves behind another daughter. Jasvir was a pathologist at Temple University. Divya was

a professor of pediatrics

in the Drexel College of Medicine. The plane took off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport based

on the flight plan. Investigators believe the plane was headed to Ohio State University.

Authorities say the plane went down three minutes after takeoff. There has been no word on a

possible cause of the crash. There was no distress call and the plane was not equipped with a black box.

Investigators from the NTSB arrived at the scene yesterday afternoon.

A preliminary report is released or will be released in about 10 to 15 days.

I'm not sure this is the case, but it seems to be the case or maybe I've heard it that

statistically most accidents occur right after takeoff. It seems that way. Yeah, yeah. For these private aircraft, for some reason, yeah, if there's a mechanical problem, it happens. Presents early. Right then and there. So sad. When I heard that they had another daughter that's now left behind her, mother, father, and sister. Gone. Absolutely terrible. I love flying in those things. But, you know, people say, we should ever be interested in taking lessons? No, because I just think I'm too stupid. I get nervous going up. A few of my friends are pilots, and I get nervous going up with them in those little planes. I'm like, you know what? I'll just, I'll skip it, you know? I fit up Some of the, some of the most joyous times flying have been in like a piper cub or something

like that, you know, or a small, smaller plane. But, you know, I remember flying one time

from Seattle to Spokane in a really small plane in a storm. I'm like, uh-oh, okay.
