Good morning in the news this morning.

At least four people were rushed to the hospital after a multi-alarm fire broke out at an apartment building in North Coventry Township.

On Thursday night, the call came in at 7.30 in the evening for a fire at the Ashwood Apartments located in the 700 block of Worth Boulevard.

Heavy flames could be seen engulfing most of the three-story apartment building.

According to witnesses, the fire started near the top floor of the structure and quickly spread along the roof line.

The apartment appeared to have predated firewalls and crews had water pressure issues during the firefight.

At least four people were rushed to area hospitals.

There was no immediate word on the conditions of the victims or if anyone else was injured.

Chester County officials estimated 125 people have been displaced because of the fire and the cause of the fire

is under investigation. The Philadelphia School Board voted to begin the school year online. The board

announced its approval of an all-virtual plan during a 7-1 vote on Thursday afternoon.

Superintendent Dr. William Height says the school year will begin virtually on September 2nd.

Classes will be held online until at least November 17th, which marks the end of the first

grading marking period.

Then the district would make the decision whether to remain completely online or transition

to a hybrid model going into the winter.
