It's the six largest in U.S. history and the third largest in the history of the game. The winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday nights growing. Okay. Hold up. Sorry. The California Lottery said on Twitter that the winning ticket was sold in Los Angeles at Las Palmitas mini market.

Final ticket sales pushed the jackpot beyond its earlier estimate of $1 billion to $1.08 billion at the time of the drawing.

Steve, you know you don't play. So when you go to find out if you're a winner, they have a little scanner that you can go and check out. And there's a little QR codes here or whatever, and you hold it down. And there's a little, there's just a second. Just a little pause there. And it says, your ticket is dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot. Not a winner.

But every now and then, it's congratulations. You won $5. Something like that. Where is this that you scan? Can you go back down to Chosen? Yes. Yeah, they have a little scanner down there. Is it the same machine that dispenses? I mean, the one that scans? No, it's separate. But it's anybody can walk up to the counter and use that.

The last time someone won the powerball jackpot this time around was April 19th for the top prize of nearly $253 million.

Since then, no one had won the grand prize.

While they didn't win the jackpot, several people in our region still won big.

Someone in Pennsylvania hit five numbers and the power play uh winning two million dollars nice yeah and then in new jersey two tickets matched just the five numbers winning a million dollar prize yeah i never

realized there were those uh levels yeah oh yeah i just thought it was all or nothing

yeah no sometimes you can get you can get something that's a decent, take from it. Some bitch. It's expected to be announced exactly where the tickets were sold later today. The game now resets at $20 million. Which is amazing, but it seems like nothing. Yeah, right. I'll take that too. Investigators believe New York architect Rex Heuerman killed three women and he's suspected of having killed a fourth.
