Kathy had brought up something yesterday because some people will plan trips like Claire did,

Steve, your wife, to go and see something like the other lights, yes.

And Nick, you went to Iceland in the hopes.

And our trip was a failure because we went there. I mean, it wasn't a failure. It was actually a great trip, but we didn't get to see the Northern Lights at all. We went in March to Iceland specifically to see the Northern Lights, and that ended up not happening because of the weather. And then Kathy had said, we need to talk about this sometime. If you've specifically planned a vacation around something and that something doesn't happen.

Are you talking about Kathy something that relies on nature to?

Yeah, whatever.

But I mean, nature would probably be the biggest one.

Now, I went to the island of Capri.

And I didn't specifically go there for something, but there was one thing that I could not wait to do when I got there. And it was like a big part of the trip. And because the water was too rough, we couldn't go. You go into these, I forget what they're called. The caves, right? Isn't the grotto? The blue grotto? That's it. The blue grotto. Yes. And because the...

You don't stink.

The waves were too high when you go in. I mean, you literally, you're in like a teeny boat and you have to duck down. Like, that's how low it is. And because there was waves, you would have gotten your head chopped off if you tried to go through. That would be a bad vacation.

Yeah, and we were there probably three or four days,

and every day we would go to the front desk and we'd be like,

how's the water?

Can we do it?

And they're like, how's the water?

Can we do it? And they're like, nope, sorry. And so we never got to do it all the way over to Italy and never got to do it. Yeah. Well, stuff like that just in general. Like people have gone to like national parks only to find that they're closed. Yes. And look, Wally World is a perfect example.

Well, there's another movie example for you.

There's a movie called The Bucket List, and Morgan Freeman's character wants to see, who wants to see the Himalayas. He wants to say, damn it, Mount Everest. Yeah. And they get there and they're going to die within a few months, they have cancer. It's part of the plot of the movie. And they get there and they're like, well, okay, we got bad news, but, you know, there's a storm. And we have worse news. What's the worst news? Well, it's going to leave next year. You know, so it's like you're screwed. Like, there's no chance of getting to see the one thing that you need to see. What about if you like if you go on safari in Africa and you don't see any of the big animals? Oh, I know that's happened. And then that's, you know, listen, there's wolf tours in the Yellowstone. Like you can go to Yellowstone National Park and go on these specific tours to try and see wolves, and not see a damn thing.

So a bird. Yeah, right? I mean, we did a whale watch this summer. I don't even see any whales. You know, but... It's a lockdown. Well, yeah, I don't know why I even expected to see any. Because that's where they live. Yeah, I know. I mean, we saw dolphins up close, which was neat. But like, you know, they ended up seeing whales like a week later on the same whale washing thing that we did.

I've had pretty good luck on those things. It's rare that you, and there's nothing that's profound that's coming to mind where I'm like, oh, man, we came here specifically for this and couldn't see it.
