Good morning in the news this morning.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy said Monday he's postponing the restart of indoor dining because of a lack of compliance over the use of face masks and social distancing.

Compliance is not a polite suggestion. It is a requirement, he said, during a news conference.

Murphy cited the spike in other states as well as reports in New Jersey of people not correctly

wearing or failing to wear face masks. Unfortunately, the national scene compounded by instances of knucklehead behavior here at home

are requiring us to hit pause on the restart of indoor dining for the foreseeable future, he said.

On Monday, indoor shopping malls in New Jersey were cleared.

To start business again, they can operate at 50% capacity.

Casinos are set to open Thursday at 25% capacity. Murphy said that can go

forward. However, Atlantic City's Borgata announced that they are hitting the brakes. The casino

released a statement to 6 ABC saying, we respect the governor's decision to postpone the reopening of

indoor dining in New Jersey to protect the public. Given the decision, our property,

Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City will remain closed.

Our guests expect a special experience when they come to our property and if we cannot provide the level of hospitality, we feel is best that we will remain closed until such time that the governor lets us know it is safe to offer food and beverage.

New Jersey reported 156 new cases yesterday for a total

of 171,000 Murphy said there were 18 new confirmed deaths since Sunday for a total of 13,138

confirmed COVID-19 related deaths. There are also 1,854 suspected coronavirus-linked deaths.

Officials in Rojoboth Beach, Delaware say three lifeguards tested positive for COVID-19.
