In the news this morning, police are searching for the driver who struck a four-year-old boy and dragged him 20 feet

in North Philadelphia Tuesday night. Authorities have obtained clear surveillance footage of what happened

shortly before 930 on the 2,600 block of North 16th Street. They're hoping this will lead

them to the vehicle and the female driver. Police say the four-year-old boy was bouncing on a ball

on the sidewalk when it rolled into the street. The Police say the four-year-old boy was bouncing on a ball on the sidewalk

when it rolled into the street. The boy chased the ball and was struck by the right front end of the

dark-colored Honda was dragged for a short period of time and that driver did pull over. According to

authorities, the driver stopped at the scene after the boy's mother pulled her child out from underneath

the car. The car then fled. Jase was actually playing in the front yard the boy's mother pulled her child out from underneath the car the car then

fled jace was actually playing in the front yard the other the other day and him and his friend were

throwing a ball and it rolled into the street and that's like just all i could think of and when i

heard this story i'm like oh my god yeah the four-year-old boy was taken to temple university

hospital by his mother he was stabilized and then transferred to St. Christopher's

Hospital for Children, along with the surveillance footage, police have information from

witnesses who took down the driver's license plate, and they say that the driver, the car,

is registered to northeast Philadelphia. So it looks as though they may be able to, you know,

find this person. But the investigation is ongoing.
