In the news this morning, a woman is facing attempted murder charges after a Philadelphia

officer was hit by a vehicle during last month's unrest. Cell phone video captured the moment.

A Philadelphia police officer was run over after a group of alleged looters ransacked a business

near 7th the Chestnut Street in Center City on May 30th. Officer Antonio Neves had surgery to repair

a broken arm and shattered shoulder,

then another surgery to reconstruct 12 broken ribs and a shattered sternum.

He also had five fractured vertebrae in his back and his neck.

He's in very bad shape right now at Jefferson Hospital.

He's basically crushed from the waist ups at FOP Lodge 5 President John McNesby.

On Monday, police say 41-year-old Angela Hall was arrested on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault in connection with the accident. Neves family is distraught and

extended family members from Puerto Rico are on their way to Philadelphia to be by his side.

McNesby says they will be by his side for quite a while. He's going to have a long recovery

and he's going to need a lot of people to rally around him a lot of prayers right now, McNesby says.

Did you say 12 broken ribs?

I mean, he had like a whole list of things. So originally when it happened, they reported it

as a broken arm, but what it was was his first surgery was this broken arm and shattered shoulder.

So, yeah, he had to have surgery to reconstruct 12 broken ribs, yeah.
