Good morning in the news this morning. U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents stops millions of dollars in counterfeit cash from getting into Philadelphia last month.

Officers showed off what they seized from shipments intercepted on May 2nd, 5th, and 26th.

Agents say the fake bills closely resembled real U.S. currency that would be worth nearly $15 million.

The two most recent seizures occurred on May 26th when officers seized two shipments that each contained almost $2 million of fake currency.

On May 5th, officers seized almost $8 million of counterfeit currency and almost $3 million of fake currency on May 2nd.

What's the difference between fake currency and counterfeit currency?

I do not know. I don't know. I don't either. I think it's the same thing, I would assume. Seems pretty similar. How often do you look at money? If it's a new bill, I'll check it out. Yeah, that's the only thing. It's very crisp. It feels a little bit different than I might. But listen, I haven't really been handling cash in a while.

I know. It's since pandemic.

A long time. I really just started going almost exclusively car to very rarely. I used to. Every single day I would walk into the house, I would throw change into my change jar. I did the other day. It was a rare occasion. Probably been months since I've

even done that. Yeah. I've had the same cash in my pocket for a couple of months. Wow. Very little

very little use. I mean they're they're essentially forcing us to because a lot of places are saying

no cash, you know, so you have to have a credit card or some other way to pay. And yet others are

asking that you, if you have cash, use it to recirculate it back into their system. Yeah. Yeah. It depends on what business you are. But before that, yeah, I mean, I would, like a new bill that would make me go take a quick look at it or when they were starting to issue new designs. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

I would take a look, but I really don't anymore.

When it's crisp like that too and new, I'm always like, wow, this looks fake.
