In the news this morning, a two-veh vehicle crash on Kelly Drive in Philadelphia

left three teens dead and two other people injured on Wednesday night. It happened at 915 at North

Ferry Drive. Police say an 18-year-old driver traveling with three passengers lost control of her

Mazda at a curb. She went into the northbound lane and collided with a Honda SUV that was

occupied by four people. The driver of the Mazda and two

male passengers died at the crash. One of the passengers was 17 years old. The other was estimated to be

about 18 or 19. The third passengers listed in critical condition at an area hospital. The 65-year-old

driver of the Honda SUV was walking and talking when police arrived. However, he was taken to the

hospital in critical

condition. A gunman shot a teenage boy and a woman during a kickball game at a playground in

Philadelphia Wednesday night. The 35-year-old woman was playing in a kickball game at the Hancock

playground shortly before 9 o'clock when a gunman opened fire. The shooter walked into the rec center

and just began firing shots. At least five shots were fired, police said. A 16-year-old boy who was at the playground was shot in the shoulder while a woman was shot in the back. One bullet also struck a nearby house. Police said the gunman fled the rec center and got into a dark colored car, possibly a black Kia that was last seen traveling north on the 1500 block of Hancock Street. The team boy is in stable condition while the woman is undergoing surgery. About 40 people were at the playground at the time of the shooting. Police said there were several people in the medical field that were playing in the organized kickball game, and they tended to the victims. So far this year, 77 people under the age of 18 have been shot in Philadelphia compared to

49 at the same time last year, according to Philadelphia police.

I think this is the first this morning that I've ever heard shooting at a kickball game.
