Good morning in the news this morning.

The shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline, which transports gas from Texas to New York Harbor has caused unwarranted panic buying.

The tri-state area receives about 45% of its gas from the Colonial Pipeline.

So that means there are other options, too, including international imports, other pipelines, and refineries.

That means don't panic.

There's enough gas to go around.

Now, they're saying around here,

it's not as bad as some other places in Durham, North Carolina, bags covered empty gas pumps

has lines of cars stretched at open gas stations. According to Gas Buddy, 69% of gas stations

in North Carolina have run out of fuel. 46% in Georgia, 48% in South Carolina and 52% in Virginia.

In the tri-state area, there are no shortages or extreme lines at gas station, says AAA spokesperson,

Johnette Tidwell.

The ransomware cyber attack that shut down the colonial pipeline last Friday comes at a time when gas prices typically rise when we switch to summer fuel.

You can extend the life of your car and your mileage by just putting water in your tank that's what i've done it works for you

it works for me i mean it's sputters i'm not going to lie and uh you don't get there as fast as you

would get with just straight gas but it's it's a solution and halfway, you have to buy a new car. And halfway there,

you probably should buy a new car. There's also a shortage of fuel tank drivers. So it's like everything

coming together, they're saying, Colonial initiated the restart of pipeline operations late Wednesday,
