Good morning in the news this morning.

Taboo Bar and Lounge in Center City, Philadelphia is now at the center of an investigation after one of its patrons was assaulted outside of the bar and later died. Neighbors say they heard and saw some of the commotion after the bar's bouncer allegedly punched a man so hard in the head that he hit the ground and went unconscious back on Saturday, April 16th. That victim, 41-year-old Eric Pope, died over the weekend from his

injuries. Now, Taboo says the bouncer was not an employee at the bar. He may have worked for a private

security company. In recent weeks, there have been other incidents at Gaperhood Bar is involving

the same security company, according to police reports obtained by 6 ABC. One incident was recorded

on March 27th at 2.45 a.m.

at a Voyeur nightclub and a second incident happened on April 3rd at UBarr.

Security Guard choked and slammed the complainant to the ground. The complaint and sustained a head injury.

The police report read. Tabu's management released a statement saying when the unconscious individual

was reported to our management, we immediately called Diamond 1 and sought assistance. Tabu says it is cooperating with Philadelphia police. The bouncer is also cooperating with police, but it's unclear if he's facing any charges. I was actually at that bar not that long ago. They do a drag brunch on Sundays and I went with a group of friends. And it was a lot of fun and it was not violent at all.

Right, right.

I mean, you know, it doesn't say that this can't happen.

But.

And people don't know.

We've talked about it many times.

You punch someone and you think, like, I'm just going to punch them.

Yep.

They fall back and hit their head and you can easily kill them.

And that's what happened in this case. Very sad. A birthday celebration was held for Dulce Maria Alvarez, the little girl who went missing from the Bridgeton City Park in 2019. The missing girl is now eight years old. She was just five when she disappeared from the park. Her family and law enforcement still have hope that she is alive. In the absence of evidence to the contrary, we hold out hope that she is alive. This is an ongoing investigation, said the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office in a statement. The party decorations were Moana themed one of her favorite movies. Her birthday today, her birthday is today. She's supposed to be eight and she's not here with me or my family, and that's hard, the girl's mother said. I feel sad and empty that Dulce is not here.
