Good morning in the news this morning.

Emergency crews responded to an apparent gas explosion at a house in northeast Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon. It happened in the 6,300 block of Algarh Street near Walker and Leveck streets in the Wissonoming section of the city shortly after 2 p.m. When crews arrived, they found the front of the building missing and collapsed and the second floor heavily involved in fire. A 61-year-old man was taken to Jefferson Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He is currently listed in stable condition, and then a second male was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. The man was pulled from the home by a Good Samaritan. The Good Samaritan said, I went upstairs, and he was on fire. I put him out with an extinguisher. I picked him up, put him over my

shoulders and came downstairs. This guy lives in South Philadelphia, but on Tuesday, he was

visiting a friend a block away from the explosion and he went in and helped this guy. Philadelphia

Gas Work says that they are offering support to the investigation and service has been shut off

to three properties.

The cause of the blast is unknown at the time.

Philadelphia police, the fire department, and ATF investigators are investigating.

Authorities have confirmed that the body of a woman found in southwest Philadelphia Tuesday morning

is that of a missing pregnant woman from Delaware County.

Upper Derby Police said the body was positively identified as 21-year-old Diana Bryce.

She has a four-year-old son and was expecting a second boy.

Police say Bryce's body was discovered at 58th and Eastwick Street's early Tuesday morning.

The discovery comes days after she was spotted leaving a laundromat with her boyfriend,

Justin Smith, at about 1 p.m. on March 30th. Neither Bryce nor Smith has been seen or heard from since the day, police said. Bryce's mother says she couldn't reach her daughter on March 30th, so she contacted Smith. At the time, she says Smith informed her that they had gotten to an argument and that she got out of the car somewhere in Philadelphia. Smith stopped answering his phone around 5 p.m. that same day,

according to the mother who then filed a report.

At about the same time, Upper Derby police say the car was found abandoned and on fire near 59th streets

and Florence streets in Philadelphia.
