A Philadelphia police officer was injured after she was struck by a suspected DUI driver following a traffic stop on Wednesday night. It happened at 8 p.m. in the 6,700 block of Toursdale Avenue. Police said the 44-year-old female officer had just completed a traffic stop and was walking back to her SUV when another driver swerved into her. According to witnesses, her body was launched about 10 feet, said Philadelphia Chief

Inspector Scott Small.

Witnesses told police that the driver fled northbound on Torresdale Avenue immediately after

hitting the officer.

Responding officers spotted the alleged striking vehicle, a black Chevy Malibune near Kotman

Avenue.

It had a smashed front windshield and a missing side view mirror damage consistent with a hit and run.

The 42-year-old male suspect was quickly taken into custody. Police believe that he was likely drunk.

The officer, a 12-year veteran assigned to the 15th district, was transported to an area hospital with

minor injuries. They said that she is very shaken up, but she's expected to be okay. Investigators say,

given the circumstances, she's lucky to even be alive.

One of the Philadelphia state troopers killed by another suspected drunk driver will be laid to rest on Thursday.

A public funeral service for Trooper Martin Mack will take place at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Levittown, Bucks County.

The service is set to begin at 11 a.m. with a procession to follow. The 33-year-old trooper leaves behind a wife and two daughters. A public viewing for 29-year-old Trooper Brand Cisca is scheduled for Friday from noon to 3 in Norristown. A funeral for Trooper Cisca will be held at the Perkiomen Valley High School on Saturday at noon.

Siska's wife is expecting their firstborn child in July.

21-year-old Jana Webb of Eagleville is facing charges in connection with the March 21st crash on 95 in South Philadelphia that killed both troopers and the pedestrian, 28-year-old Reyes Rivera Olivares of Allentown, whom they were assisting. With thousands of members of law enforcement and other mourners expected to descend upon Lower Bucks County for services, here's what you can expect for closures in the area. The procession will start at 10 a.m. and travel from the Wade funeral home on Radcliffe Street in Bristol to St. Mike's Church on Levitown Parkway in Levitown. At 1230,

they will then head to the Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Closures are expected along Route 13 and Levitown
