Good morning. In the news this morning, an employee of a bar in Germantown was shot to death by a patron in the early morning robbery on Thursday. The incident happened at 2.15 at the Delmar Bar and Lounge on the 300 block of West Shelton Avenue. Police said the suspect was inside the bar at closing when he robbed them. The suspect, who was said to be in his 20s or 30s had been sitting at the bar like a regular customer at closing

when the other customers left. He then announced the robbery. According to investigators,

the victim 54-year-old barback was shot in the chest once. When police arrived, the victim was

found lying inside the bar by the door. He was taken to Einstein Medical Center where he was

pronounced dead. So sad. The suspect ran from the scene with a

couple hundred dollars. There was surveillance cameras at the bar, both inside and outside

other businesses along the road had cameras as well. So police are currently reviewing surveillance

was involved in a fatal crash on Wednesday morning is facing vehicular homicide charges.

The crash happened yesterday morning. I reported it all morning long. Business 30 and

Police said a black Kia Optima was traveling southbound on North 8th Avenue,

proceeding through the intersection when the car struck a black Chevy Monte Carlo that was traveling east on East Lincoln Highway, which is a business 30.

The driver of the Monte Carlo was taken from the scene of the accident to Brandywine Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police identified the driver that was killed. That driver was killed. That was 45-year-old Monica Fierantino McGibony of Coatesville. Family members say she had just gotten married two months ago. Oh, my God. Yeah, so sad. The driver of the Optima, a 22-year-old Tyree Mansell of Coatsville, was taken into custody. Police say he was driving with a suspended license and failed to stop at a red light. He is facing a slew of charges, including homicide by vehicle. The deadly incident closed Route 30 in both directions from most of yesterday morning. The roadway reopened around 10 a.m. and the accident is still under investigation. No one won the jackpot in last night's powerball drawing overnight.
