President Joe Biden kicked off the White House's effort to highlight the benefits of his huge COVID relief plan Monday, declaring that hope is here in real untangible ways as his administration began fanning out across the country to promote the new spending. Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and their spouses have begun an ambitious cross-country tour this week to promote the $1.9 trillion plan as a way to battle the coronavirus and boost the economy.

The road show dubbed Help Is Here tour by the White House began Monday with Harris heading to a COVID-19 vaccination site and a culinary academy in Las Vegas and First Lady Jill Biden touring Samuel Smith Elementary School in Burlington,

New Jersey.

President Biden will begin his national tour in Chester today, where he will sell his stimulus

package to Americans explaining how it'll impact everyday lives.

The president's administration hasn't officially revealed which business he will visit,

but it's expected to be a woman and minority-owned union small business, according to the White House Communications Director. Kathy, I heard I'm part of this tour. And Preston, you might be interested in this. Mini-Kiss is opening for some of them. So that's equal. Yeah. I love those guys. Who doesn't love that. Biden will then head to Georgia with Harris on Friday.

Harris will also make a stop in Denver today and meet with small business owners.

Jill Biden will be in Concord, New Hampshire, and Harris's husband will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The stops at vaccination sites, businesses, schools, and more are meant to educate the public about different aspects of the

giant American rescue plan and how the administration says it will help people get to the

other side of the coronavirus pandemic. Biden said President Barack Obama's administration in which

Biden was the vice president failed to adequately educate the public about the benefits of its

economy recovery plan. Pennsylvania governor Tom Wolfe will expand more businesses and event capacity limits

and lift a raft of longstanding coronavirus restrictions on bar services starting on Easter

Sunday, giving some relief to one of the hardest hit business sectors.
