Good morning in the news this morning. Court documents show that the women who are now charged with five counts of murder told investigators the entire family was contemplating and talking about

suicide before all of this happened. They were going through something religiously and they

decided to drag the kids into it, said Destiny Harris, a half-sister of the victims. It's totally

unbelievable and not understandable, said Latasha Harris, Destiny's mother. Inside an apartment

on West Bridge Street, Marsville police discovered the bodies of nine-year-old twins,

Imani and Erica, as well as their mom, 42-year-old Jamila Campbell. They also found

13-year-old Damon Decree and his sister, 25-year-old and Ira Smith dead. They are all children,

they are all children of 45-year-old Shana Decree, who was charged with murdering all five of them, including the sister and the nieces. 19-year-old Dominique Decree is also charged in killing her family members. Now, Damon Decree Sr., who was in North Carolina, is the ex-husband and father of the accused. His 13-year-old son was murdered. He said, apparently, they had got into some type of cult that they materialized online. I don't know how or what kind of cult. They were talking about demons being all around them. Destiny Harris is the half-sister of the youngest victim, and she said that when I heard that there was something going on over there, I just had a gut feeling. They were nine.

They didn't deserve this.

The twins were set to celebrate their 10th birthday on Friday.

Damon Decree said he wants his wife and daughter held accountable for the crime. I don't want them in an insane asylum. I want to see them go to jail for the rest of their lives, he said. I'd read that, like, family services had been called at some point because of these, I guess, claims that they were making or they were making scary statements about suicide and so on.

Yeah, so Bugs County Children and Youth were involved with the family.

And the father, it was kind of just like a brief comment, but he said we've been calling children's services.

So they were involved with the family and they went over. They'll sometimes just make like a, you know, a random check or whatever. And they went over. Nobody answered. And then I guess they went either later that day or the next day. And that's when they got somebody who worked, a maintenance worker who worked in the building to open the door. Well, one of the people, one of the officers who responded or somebody disseminated this information that a couple of the kids had been strangled. Yeah, a couple of them, that's how they died, but they were strangled. They went into detail. There's detail about how, I guess, they admitted to it. Now, both of their stories are differing a little bit on who killed who, but they basically admitted to it.

They said that they strangled a couple of them.

And yeah, a mother and daughter, absolutely awful.

Incomprehensible.

Yeah, police have not yet released the official motive of the murders.

Police have arrested a 37-year-old city worker in connection with multiple sexual assault cases in South Philadelphia.
