Good morning in the news this morning.

At Winter Storm Morning is posted along the 95 corridor and to the northwest. Winter weather advisories are posted in parts of Jersey and Delaware.

A snow emergency went into effect in Philadelphia just a few minutes ago at 6 a.m.

A snow emergency in Philadelphia means all parts cars must move off of the snow emergency routes for plowing.

Snow is falling and it's quickly accumulating.

The snow will be at the heaviest later this morning, like Preston mentioned.

It will lessen a bit later in the afternoon.

It may change over to some sleet, some sort of mix of freezing rain, and then it may go back

to a little bit of snow after that.

The expected snowfall is three to seven inches for the Philadelphia and surrounding region,

1 to 3 for areas of central Delaware,

generally less than an inch in southern Cape May County where the storm is mainly rain.

Pendock crews were out last night and again this morning,

salting the roads, the plow trucks will be out as well.

This is one of those winters.

So we got, we got off lightly for a couple years. Yeah, last year, nothing. And now we're in that cycle every couple days. This was one of the oddest driving in experiences I've had in a long time because leaving my house and on 476 it was bad. I had to slow down. I had the hazards on. 76 East was was pretty bad until about a half a mile before Belmont. And then it's not like it stopped entirely, but it really got very light. It was nothing. And then it was, yeah, on Belmont, it was fine. And then this parking lot, when I got here, it was totally fine. So it was really challenging for two thirds of my drive and then nothing for a third of my drive. It's pretty weird.

Yeah, I had nothing coming in and I'm watching on the news. They're showing heavy snowfall around the areas. I'm like, really? When I walked in, Steve was like, wasn't snowing in Contja-Hawkin? Nick, I had the same thing. I left. I had, I left at my normal time because I I thought the roads were fine, and I couldn't see the lane lines.

I was doing about 20 miles an hour on the blue route and maybe up to like 25 on the Schuylkill. And same thing. When I got just before Belmont, it lightened. And then by the time I was on Belmont, I'm like, there's no snow here. It's just rain or whatever it was. Somebody who's texting in San Contchi already seems like it's got a couple inches.
