Good morning in the news this morning.

Authorities are investigating after a man allegedly armed with a sword was shot and killed by police in Montgomery County on Tuesday night. It happened around 730 along East 8th Street and Long Alley in Pennsburg.

Upper Perk Police Department officers were called after a concerned family member stated a relative left the home with a sword in a state of agitation.

Police say the man threatened the officer with the sword and would not follow commands to drop it.

That's when the officer opened fire.

The officer tried to render aid, but the man died at the scene.

According to investigators, the man has not been identified at this time.

It was apparently like a pretty big damn sword.

I know.

Former President Donald Trump was unhappy with the impeachment lawyer Bruce Castor's opening argument on the Senate floor Tuesday.

Caster, who is representing Trump alongside attorney David Shone, delivered a meandering argument during the first day of the Senate impeachment trial,

including praise for the House impeachment managers for a presentation that he said was well done.

Trump was almost screaming as Caster struggled to get at the heart of the defense, the defense team's

argument, which is supposed to be over the constitutionality of holding a trial for a president

no longer in office. Given that the legal team was assembled a little over a week ago, it went as

expected, a source told CNN.

Still, Trump allies were flabbergasted when the attorneys switched speaking slots at the last minute. Caster's decursive presentation featured lengthy praise of the Senate, including his

home state Pennsylvania Senator, Republican Pat Toomey, and Democrat Bob Casey, while arguing
