In the news this morning, Lower Mary and Township Police are reviewing surveillance videos

in hopes of identifying the driver involved in a fatal hit and run. It happened at 550.

Yesterday afternoon along Ardmore Avenue by Schoolhouse Lane in Ardmore.

Police said it was raining at the time of the crash. The driver struck the pedestrian who was

crossing at or near a crosswalk. The striking vehicle believed to be a white Jeep Cherokee

pulled into a senior center parking lot, then fled the scene.

Police have looked through surveillance footage from nearby businesses.

Police said that the pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for treatment, but was later pronounced dead.

The victim has yet to be identified.

Residents say traffic has been a major issue in the area, and they're not surprised by this accident.

Traffic is increasing recently because of all of the new development that is now in place.

A New Jersey high school basketball coach was assaulted Tuesday night, allegedly by his own

players.

It happened about 9 o'clock outside the Malcolm X Chabazz High School on Johnson Avenue in

Newark, New Jersey.
