Good morning in the news this morning.

A huge crowd gathered at the Abington School Board meeting following last month's controversial comments made by a board member.

Dr. Tamara Clayman made the controversial comments during the January 21st School Board meeting.

There's a lot of evidence that anybody carrying a firearm in a district building in a district building puts kids at risk, particularly students of color, claimant said.

We know that the black and brown

students are much more likely to be shot by an officer, especially school resource officers than any

other students. And I have serious concerns about anybody in the building having firearms regardless

or not of whether they are police, the school board member said. On Tuesday night, the auditorium

was packed, as you can imagine. Residents lined up

dozens at a time to let the board members hear them out, some even calling Clayman to resign.

It broke my heart. The Dr. Clayman was attempting to divide both our school community,

community as a whole by slandering the Abington Police Department, one man said.

On Tuesday night, she apologized publicly for those comments. Many people also stress their support for the three officers who police the district.

Abington Police Township Police Chief Patrick Malloy and Willow Grove and AACP President Valerie Ward were both in attendance.

Ward said, I have a tremendous relationship with the officers and I can't tell you how much we appreciate all that is done through community policing.

The school board did address the possibility of removing Dr. Klayman but said that they have no legal grounds based on her comments so she would have to resign.

An undercover Philadelphia sergeant shot a man who police, say, suddenly attacked her with a rock and grabbed her by the neck during a struggle in the city's hunting park section. The 57-year-old sergeant was sitting in the car near North Park and

West Hunting Park avenues at about 7.30 on Tuesday when police said the man threw a rock into the
