And now, Preston and Steve's news update with Kathy Romano.

0:12.9

Hi, today is Tuesday. It's the 31st day of January. Good morning, Kathy.

0:17.3

Good morning in the news this morning. The Super Bowl is the biggest American sporting event of the year, so it's no surprise that tickets to the big game are pretty pricey.

0:25.5

Going to see the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs at State Farm Stadium and Super Bowl 57 is possible if you're willing to pay the high price.

6 ABC spoke to Vincent Rizzuto yesterday. He's the president of the travel company, Philly Sports Trips, and he said that he had been taking calls from fans for the last 24 hours, nonstop phone calls, and emails. He says their full package costs about $3,400 a person. That includes flight, hotel, transportation, and two parties. So that's about $6,800 for a couple, but that does not include tickets to the game. Oh, no ticket. Okay. Oh, oh, well, there we go. $6,800, just to get started. Just to get started. Yeah. A couple in Brimmar decided to fulfill a lifelong dream of watching the Eagles in the Super Bowl live and in person. They paid over $20,000. That included tickets.

1:11.7

If you want to purchase your packages with the Eagles, they will direct you to on location,

1:16.0

the official hospitality partner of the NFL.

1:18.7

A package complete with game day tickets, an exclusive pregame party and tailgate experience

1:23.7

starts at just under $5,000 per person.

1:26.7

So 20 grand they're going to spend for this experience. And I wonder if they're told their 18-year-old son, you know, we're going to take a gap year this year. No, Preston, they just got engaged. We're not going to pay. And they're using their honeymoon money. That's it. They're not taking honeymoon. This is their honeymoon. And the mortgage. Sure. Yeah. And the mortgage, yeah. It's crazy.

2:03.5

It's... And I know that it's been the standard for years now, and it's no big deal. And it's probably a thing that we say every single year. But, I mean, either you are... Either this is just a luxury, you can afford this, and it's loaded with super rich people, or you're really, really diving deep into your accounts.

2:04.8

Wow.

2:05.5

It's an amazing thing.

2:06.3

However, if you go up to the $25,000 package, that guarantees a win, Kathy.

2:10.9

Well, here we go.

2:11.6

So packages, including airfare and hotel, start at $10,000 per person.

2:15.5

According to Game Time, the top ticketed prices are going, top, sorry, the top priced tickets are going for just over $33,000 each. Wow. Isn't that? Oh. Where's my ticket? Where's my $33,000 ticket? I just don't understand who can go. Yeah, I know. I know what you just said. I'm with you, man. Who are you? Listen, I guess there's a lot of people that have disposable income out there. I mean, listen, there's money that kind of disposable income. There's money that I have saved that I would use for specific things. I would not be a person to spend $33,000 on a Super Bowl ticket, but there are people probably who have

2:52.5

money saved that this is what they're saving.

2:54.6

Yeah, but I, you know, I've said this before.

2:58.1

I would do this for like a concert, right?

2:59.8

I would do this for an experience in which there isn't a winner and a loser.
