We'll start with some tragedy that unfolded yesterday morning in Philadelphia,

eight children, and four

adults were killed after a house fire erupted in the Fairmount section of the city. Wednesday morning,

the deadliest fire in the city in more than a century. A fire official said the number of

fatalities is, quote, dynamic, indicating the number of those killed could range as the

recovery continues. Mayor Jim Kenny said, without a doubt, one of the most tragic days in our city's

history, losing so many kids is just devastating. Please keep these babies in your prayers. Fire officials

said 18 people were living in the upstairs apartment known as Unit B, which was comprised of the second and third floors of the duplex.

Another eight people lived on the first floor, which was Unit A.

However, the Philadelphia Housing Authority said that they were only aware of 14 residents in Unit B when they did their last occupancy recertification in October.

There was no immediate word on the cause of this fire, but there's a source that says

investigators are looking into the possibility that the blaze may have been sparked after a

child started a Christmas tree fire, but that is still under investigation in the early stages.

Sources say most, if not all of the fatalities were from Unit B.

As relatives and friends hugged and cried throughout the day, it was impossible to calculate

Kadira and Jasuta Purafoy said that they had lost their three sisters and their eight children.
