Good morning in the news this morning.

A man was rescued Tuesday afternoon after he became trapped at a Montgomery County car wash.

It happened around 2.30 in the afternoon at the wave car wash and the 200 block of Bethlehem Pike and Comar.

Officials say the 77-year-old man was in his vehicle when he apparently hit the gas instead of the brake, causing the car to flip onto its side.

The man was trapped for about 90 minutes before he was rescued around 3.45.

He was taken to an area hospital for injuries to his leg, but he is expected to survive.

A worker was nearby when the man floored the car into the building.

Several pieces of machinery were destroyed.

I have never accidentally hit the accelerator before, but what I have done has been in something like a drive-through, and for whatever reason, needed to put the car in reverse for a moment.

Oh, no.

And then forgotten that I've had the car in reverse.

Yeah.

Now, it's never led to an accident.

But for that split second, when you go backwards, when you think you're going to go forwards, is terrifying.

Now, I can imagine lurching forward because if you're going to put your foot on the break, you give it a pretty good tap there.

And that's turned into forward momentum and boom, dude.

Well, the speed he had to go into to turn, to fuck the car.
