On today is Tuesday, January 4th. Kathy is out. I'll handle the news duties.

We're going to begin with this.

The cleanup effort continues in South Jersey after a winter storm dropped nearly a foot of snow and more in some places. New Jersey state officials had asked people

to immediately report any power outages and to stay away from wires that may have come down

from the storm because there were also some winds that were gusting. This is such an anomalous thing,

at least from our take on everything here.

And we were talking about this yesterday on our conference call, Preston.

I was seeing cars clearly returning from Jersey or somewhere that had snow on them.

And like we're covered in snow.

We didn't get anything.

Yeah.

And, you know, you'd ever now and then see a car covered in snow

and every other car was clean. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it was really weird. I was talking to Sarah, who was on for Jackson yesterday. It was a holiday. And she said, yeah, I've been waiting out the snow till it ends. And as I'm talking to her, I'm driving through Center City where there's nothing. And I was like, just cross the bridge and you'll be absolutely fine.

So the New Jersey first snowstorm of 2022 not only dumped as much as 14 inches of snow on parts

of Cape May County, but set a new daily snowfall record at Atlantic City International Airport.

Mondays winter storm dropped 9.5 inches of snow on the airport, making it the most snow to fall at that

particular location on January 3rd. The airport's previous snowfall record for January 3rd was only

2.8 inches back in 2014, so it shattered the day record. That's kind of the mind-blowers that you

had records being broken, just a little, you know, a little half-hour travel, 45 minutes away,

and nothing here.
