Philadelphia police are investigating a triple shooting in northeast Philadelphia. It happened at 1135 yesterday evening on the 4200 block of Roosevelt Boulevard at Whitaker

Avenue. Police said three victims were sitting outside on the front steps when someone pulled up

and opened fire. Investigators said the front door of the home was shot up and bullets were also

found in a neighboring home. Police said 13 spent shell casings were found at the scene.

The three men were taken to the hospital. Two were in critical condition. One is in stable condition. No one inside of the homes were hurt. Police said the suspects drove off so far. There's no word on any motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made at this time. A recent high school graduate from Brooklyn gave his life to save two friends in the water off of Ventnor, New Jersey over the weekend. 18-year-old Jalen Alston was visiting the Jersey Shore with two friends when he answered the call to help them as they started having trouble in the water on Friday night about 7 p.m. The U.S. Coast Guard says that Jalen pushed the two swimmers to shore, but he never returned himself.
