A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew.

Lord of you, Lord.

Jesus said to his disciples, what is your opinion?

If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the 99 in the hills and go in search of the stray?

If he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it

than over the 99 that did not stray.

In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly father

that one of these little ones be lost. The gospel of the Lord.

Praise us to be the Lord Jesus Christ. And so today we've heard this gospel in Luke's version usually

that talks about the lost sheep and how God goes after the one. And it's for us, first of all, that

God rejoices when we come home to him. But again, too many people they make it, that's the end

of it. It's about me, about me, about me, about me, God comes running after me. True. But it's

not only about you. It's about you and I having the heart of God.

The first reading talks about comfort. Give comfort to my people. He's saying that to you and me,

that we have to give comfort to God's people. And then he's saying to us that we have to do everything in our power to save the little

ones. So it just isn't God out there. We are the, Christ lives inside of us. So he wants to use

us to bring the little ones back. So what do you and I do in our daily lives to bring the lost

to Jesus, to go after the lost? Are we just all excited that we got saved by Jesus? And that's the

only thing it matters. Let's have the heart of God. May each you know is love today and forever. Amen.
