My brothers and sisters, may our Lord be with you.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke.

Lord.

Herod the Tetra heard about what was happening, and he was greatly perplexed because some were saying,

John has been raised from the dead.

Others are saying, Elijah, has appeared. Still others,

one of the ancient prophets has arisen. But Herod said, John, I beheaded. Who then is this about

whom I hear such things? And he kept trying to see him. The gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

And so they're trying to, we've got new video cameras here now and so we can start videoing,

but the recording isn't working. It takes time, as always. Anyway, so those who are

wanting to look to see everything, live streamed, sorry, not today. Anyway, we hear in the first,

I mean in the gospel today, Herod, the tetraic, the pagan, the evil man who killed children, kept trying to see Jesus. And so how much more

us we need to keep trying to see Jesus? Not just in church, not just in the Eucharist, but again,

the people around us when Jesus says, whatever you do to the least of my brothers and sisters

you do to me to see Jesus in all circumstances you know the bishop that ordained me

bishop murphy we were out to dinner one night years ago and one of our anniversaries and

he talked about all things are revelation that God's constantly in everything trying to speak

to us and reveal himself to us. But do we keep trying to see Jesus in all things? Or do we pick and

choose? The Pharisees picked and choose, and they missed Jesus.

And we too can miss Jesus.

So today, let us be people that try to see Jesus in every situation, in every person.

And when we see him, then great things can happen.
