2019. The time now is 1008 in the a.m. This is episode number 280 where I sit down sometime

during the day to share what's on my mind with you and you get to share what's on your mind

with me by calling or texting 267-4546376. That is

my number. Well, my texting number. It's a Google Voice number. Now, let me just start off by saying,

have you been seeing a lot of people talk about, oh, text me, this is my real number. I'll respond to

you. That's some bullshit. I've been doing this thing since

well before those people started doing that thing. And mine's a Google voice. So mine's not some.

What I've heard is that when you text, you are signing up for some bullshit to get respond to basically

be marketed to. When you text me at 267, 454, 6376. I'm not marketing to you. I may actually tell you to

fuck off if you annoy me. But no, that text comes into the Google Voice app and then I can reply to

it on my phone, which is actually pretty cool. So most people go ahead and send texts. I do like when

people do call. When I was doing this more daily or daily than people would call often.

Part of the reason I stopped going daily is I just felt like I was complaining too much because

I like to complain and I don't want to come across as that.

But I also do like sitting here and talking.

On the other hand, I do like some of the podcasts that I listen to that are more polished

and scripted out and have, you know,

interviews and different things cut in. Like, they're highly produced. I'm not saying I

fully agree with highly produced, but I do love the stories that they create. Case in point

startup is the, is a podcast following this startup of Gimlet Media.

And they've just sold for, what, $280 million or so to Spotify.
