The time now is 11.02 p.m. This is episode number 2-2-4-24, where I sit down sometime during a day to share what's on my mind with you and you get to share what's on your mind with me by calling 267-4546376. I got to get to bed shortly.

I got a 7 a.m. workout, which means I got to leave here at 6.20 a.m. because I do drive 40 minutes

or 38 minutes to get there a couple days a week because that's where my trainer is. I've said that

before. So tonight I went and listened to Coach Ravelling,

George Ravelling speak at Rowan University.

It was very good.

And I wrote down a couple of notes,

and there's one thing that I want to talk about real quick.

And he made a statement, and he goes,

if someone says no,

it's because you never gave them enough information to say yes think about it if somebody

says no it's because you didn't give them enough information to say yes i mean that's kind of what sales is

sales is getting that yes but also being able to turn a no into a yes because now you're figuring out

what information somebody needs to know to get them to say yes or to help you get them to say yes.

What information can you give someone that makes it seem like they shouldn't say no?

And so I try to think of that and I guess it's a great statement and I can say that I do think like that and I've acted like that for a long time that I try to think what kind of picture can I paint for somebody in as quick of a fashion as possible to get them to say yes. What information could I share with them to make them say yes. For example, if I'm working with, if I'm trying to

get a photo shoot with somebody and a day in the life type thing, and I know they're friends with

acquaintances with somebody I already know or somebody already photographed, well, I make it a point

to say, oh, here's my portfolio. And by the way, here's a shoot I did with Perry Farrell, you know, because they love Jane's

addiction or something.

And you know that if they see that stuff, they're going to sit, turn around and be like,
