I need to go check up on that stuff because it's been a little bit, a little while since I've actually listened to some of the voicemails because I just haven't done it.

So here's what's on my mind this morning is that photography is an absolute struggle.

There's no ifs, ends, or buts about photography being a struggle as it's tough. Photography alone is a difficult profession to make,

and I'm not just talking about presently getting jobs or making a living doing it. I'm talking

about the fact that there's no such

thing as a photographer's retirement fund. There's no, hey, you hit 65 and all of a sudden

you get your pension because there's no such thing, at least here, I don't know how it works

in other countries, but in the United States, photography is your career and you better

be putting money away to support yourself

as you get older and do less work. That's something you have to keep in mind because I talk to a

lot of older photographers and think about them, their situations where some of them have benefited

from the work that they've done in the past, they're able to go ahead and sell

their collections, sell their negatives, sell the rights to the images, sell the images for art, sell

books, and other photographers who do not own the rights to their images from the past for

some of the famous people are struggling to make ends meet in their retirement years.

It's a struggle.
