We'll start it off as always with the transactions, injuries, news and notes from around the league,

kicking things off with the bad news.

The starting pitcher Chris Bubich was placed on the 15-day I-L with elbow soreness.

Let's hope it's a short stay for Bubich and that the soreness is an explanation for his lack of fastball command and change up feel during this season,

as Boobich has not been quite as good as he was in the first half of last year.

Stephen Kolek will stick in the rotation for a little while longer while Boobich is recovering from the injury.

And we could see Luinder of Eila, Mason Black, or Mitch Spence make a spot start while Boobich is out. Relief pitcher

Eli Morgan was recalled for the minors in a corresponding move. Next, relief pitcher Cole Solcer

was placed on the 15-day IL with a lower back strain. He's actually been pitching a lot of

high leverage innings for the race. We'll see Garrett Clevenger likely get the majority of those

moving forward as the club's top

set up option. To closer, Brian Baker, relief pitcher Chase Solski was recalled for the minors in a

corresponding move. Next shortstop, Corey Seeger was placed on the 10-day IL with lower back

inflammation Seeger visited a back specialist last week and was likely

recommended some time off. So the Rangers will be without Seeger for about 10 days.

Ezekiel Duran was already filling in for the injured Josh Smith at second base, but he will

now shift to being the everyday shortstop while Justin Foskew takes over at the Keystone position for the Rangers.

Outfielder Michael Hellman was recalled from the minors in a corresponding move.

Next, second baseman Jose Altoove was placed on the 10-day aisle with a grade two oblique strain.

That's a pretty significant strain for Altuve and obliques are already difficult for baseball players to recover from because of how

much they use rotation in the game. Altuva is expected to miss four to six weeks with the

gray two oblique strain so the ashos will be without their everyday second baseman for a month
