Let's dive into everything baseball related from Wednesday, April 22nd. We'll start it off,

as always, with the transactions, injuries, news and notes from around the league, kicking

things off with the bad news as catcher J.T. Rayamuto was placed on the 10-day I.L with a lower

back injury. The timeline for Real Muto's return is currently unclear, but catcher Garrett Stubbs was recalled

for the minors in a corresponding move. It seems like Raphael Marchan will be the everyday

backstop in Rayo Muto's absence. Next, we have outfielder Denzel Clark, who was placed on the

10-day IL with a foot bone bruise. He has been the A's

everyday center fielder, but he's been out for the last few days, and Zach Gelloff has been

filling in. Gelloff was a former second baseman, but he's moving to, moving up the defensive

spectrum to center field, and he should fill in nicely outfielder.

Colby Thomas was recalled from the miners, but Gelloff replacing center field for the injured

Denzel Clark. And lastly, we have outfielder Wyatt Langford, who was placed on the 10-day IL

with a flexor strain. It's a grade one strain. So Langford is hopeful he'll only miss the minimum

time, but boy,

Langford just cannot stay healthy outfielder. Alejandro Osuna was recalled for the minors in

a corresponding move, but Ezekiel Durand should see the most playing time in left field during

Langford's absence. In terms of transactions, starting pitcher Lucas Gialito signed a one-year

$3 million deal with

the Padres.
