We'll start it off as always with the transactions, injuries, news, and notes from around the league.

It's a busy day when it comes to this section.

So we'll start it off with the bad news as relief pitcher Cole Henry was placed on the 15-day

IL with a rotator cuff strain, and MRI revealed

nothing too serious, so Henry won't miss too much time. He's a reliever for the Nationals.

The Nationals also placed relief pitcher Ken Waldichuk on the 15-day IL with forearm tightness.

Waldichick is seeking a second opinion after being recommended Tommy John

surgery. Relief pitchers Jackson Rutledge and Orlando, Rbalta, were recalled from the

minors in corresponding moves to Henry and Waldichuk hitting the IL. Rutledge appeared in 63 games

for the Nats last year with a 577 ERA, while Rabaulta appeared in 22 games with a 7.03 ERA. The state of the

Nationals bullpen means either of these guys could find themselves in high leverage situations

that they pitch well enough early on. But Gus Farland should see the largest influx of hold

opportunities with previous top set up man, at Cole Henry on the injured list.

Next, we have relief pitcher Jonathan Bolin, who was placed on the 15-day IL by the Phillies with a

groin strain. Relief pitcher Seth Johnson was recalled for the miners in a corresponding move.

The Phillies just returned Orion Kirkering from the IL, so they should be able to withstand a short

absence from Jonathan Bolin. Relief pitcher Ben Casperius was placed on the 15-day IL by the Dodgers
