Let's dive into everything baseball related from Monday, September 22nd.

We'll start it off, as always, with the transactions injuries, news and notes from around the league, kicking things off with the transactions as we came away with no significant IL placements on Monday.

We'll start it off with catcher Christian Vasquez, who was activated from the 10-day IL after missing a month after undergoing shoulder surgery

to remove an infection in his shoulder.

Vasquez will return to being the twins' everyday catcher, forcing Johnny Parada and

Mickey Gasper back to the bench.

Gaspers is likely to contribute around the infield, while Parada is the backup to Vasquez behind the play

outfielder. Deshaun Kersey Jr. was optioned to the minors in a corresponding move. Next, we

have starting pitcher Edward Cabrera, who was activated from the 15-day IL after missing some time

with an elbow strain. Cabrera is expected to start today in Philadelphia. It's

sort of surprising that he was able to return and that the Marlins are pushing Cabrera to pitch

here in the final week of the season. But it's always good for a pitcher to go into the offseason

healthy. So looking forward to Cabrera building off of this year's breakout campaign with a healthy

off season.

In a corresponding move, starting pitcher Adam Mazur was optioned to the miners.

Next, we have a catcher Adley Ruchman, who was activated from the 10-day IL.

After missing a month with an oblique strain, Ruchman will return to being the Orioles
