Welcome back to another episode of the first pitch podcast brought to you by pitcherlist.com. My name is Jake Crumpler, and I'll be your host for this edition of the pod. We'll start it off, as always,

with the transactions, injuries, news and notes from around the league, kicking things off

with the bad news. As shortstop, Bo Bichette was placed on the 10-day IL with a knee sprain.

Apparently, Bichet tweaked his knee while sliding into home plate the other day.

The severity of the sprain isn't known, but Bichet should be able to return to the Blue Jays before the end of the season.

Joey Lopifito was recalled from the minors in a corresponding move, and he's expected to be on the

strong side of a left-field platoon splitting time with Davis Schneider.

Ernie Clement is expected to take over for Boachette at Shorestop until he returns from the injured list.

Next, we have first baseman warming Burnabelle, who was placed on the seven-day concussion I.L.

Hopefully he recovers quickly.

First baseman Michael Tolia was recalled from the minors in a corresponding move,

and Tolia is expected to take over every day at first base for the Rockies in Bernabelle's absence.

Next, we have outfielder Kyle Tucker, who was placed on the 10-day IL with a calf strain, retroactive to September 6, which means Tucker could return in just a week's time.

In a corresponding move, catcher Moises Ballesteros was recalled from the minors.

He's the Cubs' number two prospect, and he'll be a backup catcher to everyday catcher

Carson Kelly.

Willie Castro, though, is expected to see most of the time in right field until Kyle

Tucker returns.

And lastly, starting pitcher Dustin May was placed on the 15-day
