Let's dive into everything baseball related from Monday, August 4th.

We'll start it off as always with the transactions, injuries, news, and notes from around the league, kicking things off with the bad news.

And starting pitcher, Simeon Woods Richardson was placed on the 15-day IL with a stomach bug.

He was trying to come back from it, but was unable to make his start over the weekend.

And we'll now spend the next couple weeks on the IL. Jose Urania will be the biggest benefactor of Woods

Richardson's IEL placement as he'll continue to cover him in the rotation. In a corresponding move,

relief pitcher Darren McAffen was recalled from the miners. Next, we have second baseman

Tommy Edmund, who was placed on the 10-day I-L with an ankle

sprain that was expected.

We talked about that yesterday, so Edmund will miss at least the next 10 days, and it looks

like Miguel Rojas will fill in at the Keystone position as he played second base in the

first game of Edmund's absence.

In a corresponding move, third baseman Max Muncie was activated from the 15-day I-L.

He had been out with a knee bone bruise and he'll return to being the Dodgers everyday third

baseman, which will force Alex Freeland to the bench.
