Hello and welcome to another edition of the first pitch podcast on pitcher list.

My name is Trevor Huth.

We got baseball to get into.

Why don't we just do it?

I mean, hey, that's what we're here for, right?

Starting with the news, of course, the Royals made a flurry of moves.

They've activated the trade acquisitions, Bailey Falter and Ryan Berger.

Some pitching they got to bolster their rotation to make room for them.

They've optioned Jonathan Bolin and a DFA Thomas Hatch.

Hatch was brought on to the roster, I believe, to replace Rich Hill very recently.

Michael Massey has also been returned from rehab assignment and activated from the injured list.

So he is back for the Royals as well as creating room for a couple new pitchers.

Tanner Halk for the Red Sox is going to undergo Tommy John surgery.

He's been out since mid-May.

He was on a rehab assignment, but he did get pulled off of it and was put on the 60-day I-L.

So now Tanner Hout might not be back in action until 2027 or at the earliest late next season after once again undergoing Tommy John's surgery.

Blake Snell was activated by the Dodgers. He'd been on the 60-day I-L with left shoulder inflammation to make room.

They had to make room on both the active and 40-man

rosters for him coming off of the 60-day. New trade acquisition, Paul Javasi, has been

optioned to AAA, and Zach Penrod, a lefty, was DFA'd in order for Snell to return to the roster.
