Let's dive into everything baseball related from Monday, July 28th.

We'll start it off as always with the transactions, injuries, news and notes.

And this is where the majority of our show will reside as we've got a ton of injuries and obviously some trades as we are amid trade deadline season.

So we'll start off with the bad news.

A starting pitcher Reese Olson was placed on the 60-day IL with a shoulder strain.

Immediate 60-day IL placement is never good.

And at this point in the season, it means Olson will miss the rest of the regular season.

The Tigers haven't taken out the possibility of Olson returning in the playoffs.

So his season in general isn't totally done, but the regular season is done for

Reese Olson.

They did immediately replace Olson with a trade as starting pitcher Chris Paddock was

acquired via trade from the twins, along with Randy Dobnack, who has pitched

to a 7.1 to ERA at AAA.

And in return, the twins will receive catcher Enrique Jimenez.

So the Tigers will replace Olson with Paddock in the rotation.

And I think it's a pretty good replacement.
