0:55.3	I'm your host dash Thompson, and today I'll be looking at the San Francisco 49ers offense.
1:00.2	All year you've been hearing me talk about Shanahan offenses.
1:03.9	Here's a branch off of which a lot of those shoot.
1:08.5	Kyle Shanahan built his offense on the back of his father's. Mike Shanahan
1:14.1	pioneered the specific blend of West Coast short-passing and outside zone running
1:19.1	that has come to be known as the Shanahan offense with the Broncos in the 1990s. Now, that's
1:26.0	not to say it hasn't grown in scope and complexity since then.
1:30.3	That Broncos team had an offensive line coach who genuinely believed you only needed one running play because the players on the field would turn it into whatever it needed to be on every down.
1:40.3	And if you have the right blend of linemen and running backs, that's actually not far from correct.
1:47.4	If there's a guy in your area, block him.
1:50.3	If there's not a guy, climb to the second level and block somebody there.
1:54.8	Or if there's a guy who needs to be doubled, do that.
