freedom in heaven. Born in the late 12th century, St. Peter in Alaska dedicated his life

A merchant by trade, Peter was moved by the plight of captives he encountered during his

travels. He spent his entire inheritance ransoming slaves, and when his resources ran dry,

With the guidance of St. Raymond of Pennefort, Peter founded the Order of the Blessed
