China's ride-hailing behemoth, D.D. announced it has begun the procedure for delisting from the New York Stock Exchange and applying to list in Hong Kong instead.

The decision came days after the Chinese government reportedly had asked D.D.

To delist from the U. the US out of security fears.

The move is anything but surprising.

The Soft Bank-backed mobility powerhouse has faced immense regulatory pressure since it failed

to assure Beijing its data practices were secure

before its blockbuster IPO in July.

And Facebook Messenger announced that it's starting to test out a new split payments feature that introduces a way for users to share

the cost of bills and expenses through the app. The company says the new feature is a free and fast

way to handle finances through messenger. The new feature is rolling out next

week for US users.
