The Global App Market hasn't yet peaked according to the latest analysis of the

iOS and Android App Ecosystem out this week. Global app downloads reached

37 billion in the first quarter of 2022 across iOS and Google Play up 11% a year

over year.

Consumer spending on apps also grew in Q1.

The first quarter of the year again proved to be the biggest ever for consumer spending,

which reached $ billion dollars.

IOS apps continue to drive the majority of the app ecosystem's growth on this front,

accounting for 65% of the quarters total of 33 billion dollars in consumer spending, a figure up 42% over the past two years.

The 65% figure is also in line with the previous five quarters.

Up next, Coinbase is beginning to add support for payment instruments, UPI, and IMPS in India,

making its crypto exchange broadly functional in the world's second largest internet market for the first time in years.
