Coming up on today's Daily clone, I've talked plenty about expansion, but what do Jamie Pollard, T.J. Otselberger, and Jimmy Rogers have to say about it?

All of that after a word from Wiffles Hybrids.

Thank you. Welcome into the Northwest Bank Studios. I'm Jake Brend here with The Daily Clone coming your way on Thursday, May 21st. It's all brought to you by Wiffles Hybrids. In a few short weeks, we will see some tall corn in the great Iowa fields. A lot of that's because of Wiffles Hybrids. They've been doing it for over 100 years supporting family farms. Thanks to

Wiffles Hybrids for bringing us today's Daily Clone. On today's Daily Clone, we're going to talk

about the hot topic in college football. It's expansion. And I've shared my opinion plenty. I'm not going to do it today. And that's a good thing. You don't want to hear from me anyways. However, we will hear what Jamie Pollard thinks about this. And for him, he's not for or against it, but he understands that it's a very, very nuanced conversation. That's the core crux

1:12.6

of the issue between the SEC and the Big Ten. And on this particular issue, I'd support the SEC

1:18.5

to say the detail, the devil's in the details. So why, you know, 24 sounds like a great formula,

1:26.7

except you haven't explained any of the details and as we all

1:30.2

know the details are usually what tripped you up again go back to the cc we spent a lot of money

1:35.4

creating this organization and now two of the conferences don't want to follow what we created so

1:41.6

the worst thing we could do is expand to 24 and then go, well, didn't anybody

1:45.4

think of that? Didn't anybody think of that? How about that? You know, so I think you got to work

1:50.3

your way through it. And on that front, the SEC actually is trying to do that. And the Big Ten is out there

1:55.8

for a whole different set of reasons. One of the details that nobody's covering is the fact that the

2:03.8

Big Ten's partner is Fox, who doesn't have any cut of the playoff. So you've got to ask yourself,

2:10.8

does the Big Ten have a conflict of interest about why they're supporting 24? You know, and if they do,

2:16.4

then own it. Why don't you just they do, then, then own it.

2:17.6

Why don't you just say it?

2:19.2

Don't hide behind it.

2:21.0

So, you know, we, some people in this industry need to be a little bit more forthright

2:25.7

about what they really stand for.

2:28.0

Pollard makes a great point.
