Fairway is a massive reason why Cyclone Fanatic is on the road covering the cyclones during the best month

of the year. The team arrived in St. Louis today and so did we. We caught up with T.J. Altsaburger

at the team hotel and he started out with some good news that Taman Lipsy's feeling great,

feeling healthy, and he'll be good to go this weekend against Tennessee State. Some other good

news we

learned on Wednesday as Joshua Jefferson becomes the fifth consensus All-American in Iowa State

history, Jefferson was voted to the second team by the NABC and the USBWA. It's a pretty cool honor.

Jefferson joins George Nyang, Jamal Tensley, Marcus Pfizer, and Gary Thompson.

And despite all of that history, that prestige, T.J. Outserberger still wanted more.

Shoot, I think Joshua deserved to be a first team, All-American. So, I mean, I think in a consensus, All-American is great.

But I think what he's accomplished and what our team has been able to accomplish as a result of his hard work and his labors and his efforts, as excited as we are, there's still a little bit of chip on the shoulder of feeling like, you know, there was, he earned a little bit more than what he was given, but that's fine. He'll come out with a great spirit and he'll continue to take those things and and use them to his advantage as far as our program goes like

certainly when you're talking about you know George Yang and Tinsley and Pfizer and Gary Thompson

I mean you're talking about being in really elite company in this program over, you know, the entirety of its existence.

So, I mean, to be one of five is really, you know, it's really an honor.

And so I think, you know, right now we're a little bit disappointed why it wasn't more,

but we'll deal with that here soon enough.
