Joshua Jefferson is an AP second team All-American. He is the first cyclone since George Nying to be on the first second or third team for the AP. He is Iowa State's 31st overall

All-American, and it's the first time since 1988 that the cyclones have had three straight

All-Americans.

There are four organizations that make up the consensus All-American.

Jefferson was already a first teamer on the sporting news team. Now with the second team AP, he is two teams away from being Iowa State's first consensus All-American since George Nying. What an accomplishment and what a well-deserved honor it is for Jefferson. Jefferson will be leading the cyclones on Friday at 150 in St. Louis

as they take on 15-seeded Tennessee State. I'm going to do a little analytics deep dive on Tennessee
